The J-Cats is an Ann Arbor, Michigan based swing ensemble dedicated to bringing to the public the danceable sound of swing music spanning several eras. From Duke Ellington and Fats Waller, to Louis Prima and the Blues Brothers, to the Brian Setzer Orchestra and Indigo Swing, original arrangements of favorites both old and new show a variety of swing styling. Blues standards and original swing charts complement this array of outstanding American music to keep the toes tapping and the feet moving.

In addition to providing danceable music for both the East Coast Swing and Lindy Hop crowds, the J-Cats possess a fun and energetic stage presence. A wide variety of tempos makes the music accessible to many listeners and dancers of varying background. Past venues include the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, Top of the Park, Dancing in the Streets, various engagements at the University of Michigan, local clubs and bars, as well as a variety of private parties, weddings, celebrations, and charity benefits.
